The Hair Boutique Policies
Your appointments are very important to us , it is reserved especially for you, We understand that sometimes schedules and adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully request that you notice us at least 24 hours before.
Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services.
Since the services are reserved for you personally, a Cancellation fee will apply.
- Less than 24 hour notice will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount.
-“NO SHOWS” will also be charged 50% of the reserved service amount.
All payments must be made in FULL before making a new booking.
If there is a pattern of rescheduled, missed, or cancelled appointments you may lose the privilege of creating a future appointment. These clients will be required on a walk-in only basis.
As a courtesy, we will send you a text message 48 hours in advance to confirm you appointment, because we know how easy it is to forget an appointment you booked months ago.
We require a deposit from Clients who are having major colour services such as Colour corrections, Balayage and Ombre or colour services that require over 3 hours of work.
This can vary anywhere between $50-150 depending on service.
You will be asked to pay the deposit when making your booking, the payment can be made through bank deposit, cash or eftpos.
This deposit will be used as part payment towards your service and is fully refundable should you cancel within 24 hours for your appointment.
If you fail to show up for your appointment unfortunately you will lose your deposit and will be charged in accordance with our cancellation policy.
At The Hair Boutique our customer satisfaction is very important to us.
We want to ensure when you leave our salon you are 100% happy.
If for any reason you are unhappy with the service that we have provided, we would like to have an opportunity to have you come back into the salon to have the service redone complimentary.
Clients are welcome to come in with their original stylist or we can recommend another stylist for them for the redo.
When returning for a redo service, please contact the salon within 1 week of original appointment.
Please note that the redo policy does not apply if the client decides to completely change the original look they have asked for (we keep notes and photos of the service you have asked to make sure this isn't the case.
Sometime your desired look may not be Achievable on your first appointment Please note this is not classed as a redo.
There are NO refunds for any SERVICES performed.
We can only guarantee our colour services if the recommended salon products are used. Your colour is an investment, please protect your investment to the best of your ability.
If you have been using box colours or are going from Darker to Lighter it may result in more than one service to achieve your desired result. If you don't get your desired look in your first appointment and have been told it will take a couple of appointments a redo will not be granted.
Gift Vouchers are available in any dollar amount to be used towards products and services unless otherwise stated. Gift Vouchers are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Hair Boutique is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards.
Gift Cards MUST be present at time of redemption/payment. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
Your promptness is greatly appreciated. Arriving late will simply limit the time for your service/treatment and you will be responsible for full service fees.
Your stylist will do her best to accommodate you as long as you are no later than 10 minutes. It may be possible for another stylist to assist you. But, if you are later than 10 minutes, and there is no other stylist available at that time, then you may be asked to reschedule.
We love children, as most of us have children of our own but we cannot assure their safety in the salon, Due to the use of hot tools, sharp tools, and chemicals on the salon floor, we ask that NO children be present on the salon floor when not receiving a service. This includes in strollers, empty salon chairs, or on your lap.
We also do not want to compromise the relaxation and salon experience of our guests. Children are only permitted in the salon area when having a service. Children 12 yrs old and younger need to be with their guardian when receiving a service, Guardians are not allowed to leave their child in the care of a stylist or other staff member.
For safety reasons and insurance purposes, no child under the age of 12 may accompany you while you are having a service. We do not have the facilities nor the room to care for children.
We have a DUTY OF CARE to make sure that you are protected.
The best way of ensuring that you are allergy free when it comes to hair colouring, is for you to come into our salon 48 hours or more before the application of hair dye. Here you can have specific skin test done with the product we intend to use. This is without a doubt the safest and most efficient way of detecting any allergies that may cause damage to your skin!
Our team of professional hair stylists advise a skin test before we colour your hair. If you are adamant that you would not like a skin test, however, we will ask you to sign a disclaimer. This will acknowledge that you waive any responsibility for any reaction that you may experience as a result of the colour application.
Please note there is no skin test for sensitivity to bleach that we can perform.
Each individual has a different sensitivity or tolerance to scalp bleaching. Different factors such as skin type (dry/oily etc), room temperature and temperature of the persons scalp all play a part in how bleach works.
It is completely normal to feel an itching or tingling sensation, even a little heat when bleach is first applied to your scalp so try not to be too alarmed. If you feel any MAJOR discomfort during the bleaching process however, please inform your stylist IMMEDIATELY.
